STUDENT TEACHING APPLICATION
Candidates in the 91´«Ã½ Teacher Education Program (TEP) are required to file a Student Teaching Application one (1) year in advance of the student teaching semester. The information in the application is used by the Office of Teacher Education to place candidates in a student teaching site and finalize field supervisor staffing therefore, meeting the application deadline is critical for everyone’s success and a smooth transition into the clinical experience.
Students are required to attend a mandatory meeting at the beginning of the semester in which you are applying for student teaching. The education advisors will notify eligible students of the meeting.
Application Components
- Online Application
- Confirmation that you submitted your Application for Graduation
- Letter of Application/Cover Letter: You must upload this to your online student teaching application
- Resume: You must upload this to your online student teaching application
Submission Deadlines
- October 20 - Candidates scheduled to student teach the following Fall Semester
- April 20 - Candidates scheduled to student teach the following Spring Semester
Failure to submit all components of the application will require an appeal to the SRA Committee for a late application.
